MDF is one of today’s most versatile products and it’s key to the versatility, consistent high quality and ease of application that have established Palgrave Brown’s Silktrim as the UK’s leading brand in MDF mouldings.

Major investments in technology and equipment mean that production of mouldings such as architraves, skirtings, window boards, dados and rebated door casings and linings is fast and efficient.

Free of all the defects traditionally associated with timber – such as warping or knots – Silktrim means that wastage is minimised and most importantly provides defect-free mouldings. Plus because it comes pre-primed, finishing time on site is dramatically reduced as only one top coat should be required to complete the job.

The mouldings can be nailed or secured by adhesive, with no need to allow for shrinkage. And because they are delivered in long lengths, they can be cut to fit on site. The packs too come spiral wrapped for extra protection against weather and accidental knocks during transportation or on site.

It’s environmentally sound too and available from three distribution centres across the country. The product itself carries FSC chain of custody certification and during the ISO9002 advanced manufacturing process, waste is recycled and used to provide heating systems on site.
